Climate-Resilient Seedling Production and Distribution 🌱
With generous support from the CS Fund, Labata Fantalle Organization (LaFO) has successfully produced and distributed environmentally friendly, multipurpose seedlings from its nursery site. A total of 5,000 papaya fruit seedlings and 3,000 moringa tree seedlings were distributed to 180 households with access to irrigated farming. This initiative is expected to contribute to household and community resilience by supporting climate change adaptation through drought-tolerant species, addressing environmental challenges through soil fertility improvement and biodiversity restoration, and enhancing livelihoods through improved nutrition, fodder availability, and income opportunities. By combining fruit and fodder production, LaFO is supporting agro-pastoralist households to diversify their livelihoods, strengthen sustainability, and contribute to a greener and more resilient future. 🌿
